Yammer: Posting a message to the Group

Summary

This article describes how to post a message in a group. There are two ways of doing it:

 

How-To

Task: To post to a group from your feed.

 

Instructions

Step 1 - From your My Feed, Click on the text field where it says "What are you working on?". 

Step 2 - Type your message and click "Add a group and/or people" below.

Step 3 - Then, select the group you want to post your message to from the drop-down list. Now, whatever message you compose will be displayed in the group's feed once you click "Post"

 

Outcome

Your message has been posted in the group.

Task: To post directly in the group.

 

Instructions

Step 1 Post directly in the group by clicking its name in the left-hand column.

Step 2 - Click the Update button above the group feed and the message field will expand. Now, whatever message you compose will be displayed in the group's feed once you click "Post"

 

Outcome

Your message has been posted in the group.
