Outlook: Copying a Calendar Event

Summary

This article details how to copy calendar events in Microsoft 365 Outlook on the Web, Windows Outlook Desktop app, and Outlook Desktop app on MacOS.

 

How-To

Task: To copy calendar events in Microsoft 365 Outlook on the Web. 

Instructions

Step 1 - Open your USNH Email and sign in if required. Click the calendar icon on the left-hand side of your screen to go to the calendar section.

Step 2 - Right-click the event you want to copy, and then select "Duplicate event".

Step 4 - Adjust the event time to copy it to a different time.

Step 5 - Choose another calendar to copy to a different calendar.

Step 6 - Click "Save" when finished.

Outcome

You have successfully copied a calendar event in Microsoft 365 Outlook on the Web.

Task: To copy calendar events on the Windows Outlook Desktop app. 

Instructions

Step 1 - Open your Windows Outlook Desktop app and Select the "Calendar" icon .

Step 2 - Double-click the event you want to copy, then click the "File" tab in the top-left corner.

Step 3 - Select "Move to Folders", and then select "Copy to Folder..."

Step 4 - Choose your designated calendar, click "OK" in the top right, and close the window by clicking the "X" in the top right.

Outcome

You have successfully copied a calendar event on the Windows Outlook Desktop app.

Task: To copy calendar events on the Outlook Desktop app on MacOS.

Instructions

Step 1 - Open the Calendar section of Outlook by selecting the calendar icon.

Step 2 - Right-click the the event you want to copy, select "Move" and select "Copy to Folder..."

Step 3 - Choose your designated calendar, and select "OK"

Note: You can duplicate an event by copying it to the same folder.
