Voicemail: Changing Greetings from a Campus phone

This phone system has greetings and locations. They work hand in hand. This article will instruct users on how to change greetings on their campus phone.

 

Recording Your Greeting

Log into your voice mail account, press 4 (Personal Mailbox Options). To record or review a greeting, press 1 (Select Greeting Options).

Greetings

  • Personal Greeting (used for in-office messages), press1
  • Out of Office Greeting (used for extended absence Location Greeting), press 2
  • Custom Greeting, press 3
  • Change your name, press 6

 

Review and record greeting

  • Review current greeting, press 1
  • Record a new greeting, press 2; then press # when complete
  • Keep current greeting, press any other key

 

After recording your new message you will be asked to select one of the following:

  • Press 1 - To accept new message
  • Press 2 - To re-record a new message
  • Press 3 - To delete  the message
  • Press 4 - To review new message
  • Press # - To return to previous menu

 

Changing your Location

When setting your greeting to an out-office greeting, you need to change your location.

Log into your voice mail account, press 4 (Personal Mailbox Options)

  • Press 2 - to use your name recording as an auto-message stating Away on Business
  • Press 3 - to use to use your name recording as an auto-message stating At Home
  • Press 4 - to use your name recording as an auto-message stating At Meeting
  • Press 5 - to use your name recording as an auto-message stating At Lunch
  • Press 6 - to record an extended absence message
