Sentry Gatekeeper is used to accurately record your location for 911 call reporting on softphones. You could be using a softphone from your home, the coffee shop, the office, or anywhere else where you may be working. It is important to report your location accurately, so 911 dispatch knows your actual location to be able to send the correct team in case of emergency.

Sentry Gatekeeper is required for people at USNH who are set up to use a softphone, such as Avaya Workplace, on their computer. Sentry Gatekeeper and Avaya Workplace are both available through Company Portal for people authorized to use them.
