Summary

This article will help you use Globus to upload files and folders to the USNH High Performance Computing (HPC) Cluster Premise.

Globus is a data transfer service widely used by universities and academic institutions. It allows researchers to transfer data between computers inside and outside of USNH. Globus may be used for any number and size of files.

How-To

Task: Upload File(s) or folders into Premise using Globus

Instructions

Step 1 - Authenticate into Globus (Please note the Premise home directories are now "Premise HPC USNH home directories" -- not "UNH Premise home directories" and shown below.)

Step 2 (Optional) - Navigate to the directory you wish to upload your file or files to. You can double-click on folders to go into them, and you can use the "up one folder" link above the file list to go back into the parent folder.

Step 3 - Click the upload button found on the right-hand side of the page.

Step 4 - The middle of the page will have two buttons: "Select Files to Upload" and "Select Folder to Upload." Choose one and click it.

  • If you choose the "Files" option, you can select one or more files from a given folder on your computer, and click the "Open" button at the bottom.
  • If you choose the "Folder" option, you can navigate to a folder on your computer, select the folder, and click the "Upload" button at the bottom. You will be presented with a popup that will tell you how many files will be uploaded and give you a chance to continue or cancel.

The files will begin to upload.
