Summary
This article will help you use Globus to download files from USNH High Performance Computing (HPC) Cluster Premise.
Please Note: If you need to download entire folders, you must use Globus Connect Personal. Please contact RCC for more information
Globus is a data transfer service widely used by universities and academic institutions. It allows researchers to transfer data between computers inside and outside of USNH. Globus may be used for any number and size of files.
How-To
Task: Download a File from Premise using Globus
Instructions
Step 1 - Authenticate into Globus
Step 2 (Optional) - Navigate to the directory your file is . You can double-click on folders to go into them, and you can use the "up one folder" link above the file list to go back into the parent folder.
Step 3 - Select the file you want to download by clicking on the square to its left so that it becomes checked. Note that selecting a folder OR more than one file will remove the ability to download. You can download multiple files so long as they are done one at a time. Remember if you need to download entire folders, you must use Globus Connect Personal. Please contact RCC for more information. Please note the Premise home directories are now "Premise HPC USNH home directories" -- not "UNH Premise home directories" and shown below.
Step 4 - Click the Download link on the right. (You may have to select your "identity" -- select your USNH email address -- to continue. You may also need to reauthenticate and allow the process to finish.)
Outcome
The file will now be downloaded to your computer.
