Entering User Platform Credentials

Summary

Once your InfoBurst account has been created, you will need to enter user credentials for any of the platforms you will use when scheduling reports. The platforms we support include WebIntelligence (WebI), Tableau, and SharePoint.

Task: Follow the instructions below to add different platform credentials to integrate with InfoBurst.


Instructions

Add WebI Platform Credentials
Add Tableau Platform Credentials
Add SharePoint Platform Credentials
 

Add WebI Platform Credentials:

  1. Navigate to https://infoburst.unh.edu/infoburst-ui in a web browser using your USNH issued computer.
    1.  Your username will authenticate automatically, this welcome message will flash on the screen.

       
  2. Click on your username in the top right corner of the screen.

     
  3.  Choose Platform Credentials from the dialog box and select the + to add a new platform.

     
  4. Choose BoxI for WebI under Platform. Then select Ldap for Authentication Type. Next add your WebI Username and Password

     
  5. Click Save and then test logon when prompted

     
    1. If logon is successful, choose close.
    2. If it is unsuccessful check your username and password.

 

Please Note: When you are prompted to update your USNH password, you will need to update the credentials entered here manually.

Add Tableau Platform Credentials:

  1. Navigate to https://infoburst.unh.edu/infoburst-ui in a web browser using your USNH issued computer.
    1.  Your username will authenticate automatically, this welcome message will flash on the screen.

       
  2. Click on your username in the top right corner of the screen.

     
  3.  Choose Platform Credentials from the dialog box and select the + to add a new platform.

     
  4. Choose Tableau under Platform. Then add your Username and Password.

     
  5. click Save and then test logon when prompted

     
    1. If logon is successful, choose close.
    2. If it is unsuccessful check your username and password.

 

Please Note: When you are prompted to update your USNH password, you will need to update the credentials entered here manually.

Add SharePoint Platform Credentials:

  1. Navigate to https://infoburst.unh.edu/infoburst-ui in a web browser using your USNH issued computer.
    1.  Your username will authenticate automatically, this welcome message will flash on the screen.

       
  2. Click on your username in the top right corner of the screen.

     
  3. Choose Platform Credentials from the dialog box and select the + to add a new platform.

     
  4. Choose InfoBurst Users SharePoint OAuth under Platform. Then select “Begin Authentication”. If you are signed into your USNH issued computer, Windows will automatically authenticate your account.

     
  5. The following message will be displayed in a new pop-up window in your default web browser

     
    1. If you do not get this window, check to see if your pop-up blocker has stopped the window from opening
    2. If logon is successful, choose close.
    3. If it is unsuccessful, submit a support ticket at https://td.usnh.edu/TDClient/60/Portal/Requests/ServiceDet?ID=575.

Outcome

You should see the appropriate platform(s) listed under the Platform Credentials tab.
