Summary
AppsAnywhere is a cloud-based application, available to students, faculty, and staff, that provides on-demand access to academic software anywhere, anytime, and is accessible from any Windows, MacOS, and Chromebook device. AppsAnywhere allows you to access your class software without visiting a computer lab or connecting to a VPN and you can also run multiple applications simultaneously.
Install AppsAnywhere Launcher
Task: To Install AppsAnywhere Launcher on this Windows computer
Note: You only need to install the AppsAnywhere Launcher once for each new device.
Instructions to Install AppsAnywhere Launcher (click to expand)
Step 1 - Browse to https://appsanywhere.usnh.edu
Step 2 - Sign in with your USNH username@usnh.edu (like jbd2519@usnh.edu), password, and MFA if required.
Step 3 - You may be greeted with a screen to install the AppsAnywhere Application. You can install this by clicking "Install now" , while keeping this tab open for Step 6
Step 4 - Click the downloaded file in your browser’s download location
Step 5 - After the installer finishes, click "Done" to exit the installer
Step 6 - Once finished, go back to your browser and click "I have completed installation"
Step 7 - A popup should appear in your browser, check "Always allow appsanywhere.usnh.edu to open links of this type in the associated app"
Step 8 - Click "Open AppsAnywhere Launcher"
Step 9 - After validation, you will be met with the Application Selection screen
Outcome
You will be brought to the AppsAnywhere app launcher home page.

Using AppsAnywhere
Launching Application in AppsAnywhere
Task: To access and use software applications through AppsAnywhere on a Windows computer
Instructions
Step 1 - Browse to https://appsanywhere.usnh.edu
Step 2 - Sign in with your USNH username@usnh.edu (like jbd2519@usnh.edu), password, and MFA if required.
Step 3 - If you have previously installed the AppsAnywhere client on this device, click "I have it already" and proceed to Step 4
Note: If this is the first time you are using AppsAnywhere on this device, please follow the Install AppsAnywhere Launcher then return to continue from Step 4
Step 4 - You will see the AppsAnywhere app launcher. Find a software application by searching in the search bar or clicking "View all apps" for an alphabetical list of apps. If you still do not see the app you want, click "Load more apps" at the bottom of the page
Step 5 - Hover over an application to launch it. Click "Launch"
Step 6 - You may see a window like this, but it can be minimized
Step 7 - Your application will open.
Step 8 - Some applications use Parallels, and you may be required to Install Parallels Application for AppsAnywhere
Enter your USNH username@usnh.edu (like jbd2519@usnh.edu), password, then click "Connect"
Note: Your application will not launch until you log in. This pop-up may be behind your already open applications / browser
Outcome
The selected app will be open.

Install Parallels Application for AppsAnywhere
Task: To Install Parallels Application for AppsAnywhere on a Windows computer

Step 1 - Browse to https://appsanywhere.usnh.edu
Step 2 - Sign in with your USNH username@usnh.edu (like jbd2519@usnh.edu), password, and MFA if required.
Step 3 - Some applications use Parallels, and you may be required for further installation
Step 4 - Parallels will automatically install for you. You can see where this window shows "installing parallels client". This will install the Parallels Client in the background
Step 5 - Enter your USNH username@usnh.edu (like jbd2519@usnh.edu), password, then click "Connect"
Your application will not launch until you log in. This pop-up may be behind your already open applications / browser
Step 6 - Your application will open
Outcome
The selected app will be open with a virtual desktop in the Parallels app.

Saving or Loading Your Work
Task: To save or load a file to/from your local drive through AppsAnywhere on a Windows computer
Instructions
Step 1 - To save on your Windows computer, please choose "Save as"; To load from your Windows computer, please choose "Open" (Excel has been used as an example here)
Step 2 - Select "Browse"
Step 3 - Select "C on <Your device name>"
Step 4 - This will give you access to your local hard drive. Your documents folder is located at:
C Drive --> users --> <your username> --> OneDrive – USNH --> documents
Step 5 - Choose a location and file name, and click "Save" or "Open"
Outcome
You can save or open a file on your local drive.
