This article provides instructions to open an email message labelled Restricted - Encrypted.
How-To
Task: To open an email message labelled Restricted - Encrypted.
You can open and read any email messages that you have received that are labeled as Restricted - Encrypted without having to install any software regardless of what email provider or email application you use. Receipts that you send email messages to that are labeled as Restricted - Encrypted use this same procedure.
Instructions
Step 1 - When the email message arrives, click Read the message.
Step 2 - When the browser opens, click Sign in with One-time passcode, to request a one-time passcode. The passcode arrives in an email message.
The webpage displays information about the passcode email sent and the passcode field.
Step 3 - When the email message arrives from Microsoft Office 365 Message Encryption, open it and enter the passcode into the passcode field on the webpage that you made the request from.
Outcome
The webpage displays the Restricted-Encrypted message and includes a warning that this message cannot be forwarded, printed, or the content copied.
