Summary
This article has instructions to manually add PaperCut Direct Print Queues to a computer managed by USNH. These instructions are for managed computers at UNH and the USNH System Office only. For unmanaged or personal devices, use PaperCut Mobility print instead.
You may want to add PaperCut direct print queues to a managed computer if you want to use features which are not generally available on the follow-me queues, such as:
- selecting a specific paper tray, such as the bypass tray
- selecting a non-standard paper type (e.g. envelopes)
- sending a large print job to the printer for immediate printing, allowing the job to start before you arrive at the printer
- allowing employees, such as student workers, to send documents to the printer from their non-primary account used for logging into a shared computer
Follow the instructions below for the operating system of your managed computer:
Windows Managed Computers
Before you begin
- If you are on-campus, make sure you are connected to eduroam (or wired Ethernet)
- If you are off-campus, make sure you are connected to the VPN
- Make sure you are logged into your institutional account that you intend to print from on the device
