Summary

This article has information about IIQ provisioning for High School students taking VLACS online courses through UNH CPSO and for VLACS faculty teaching the courses.

Content

Background

UNH CPSO will be offering classes to high school students through the high schools' online VLACS program.

These VLACS students only need email/M365 and library access.  They will be using their own instance of Canvas.   Students will be manually registered by CPSO, so they will not need to login to WebCat to register for classes.

IIQ Roles for VLACS students and faculty

To support the provisioning requirements for these High School VLACS Students, two new USNH roles are being introduced in IIQ as of Aug. 5, 2025:

  • When the student is registered by CPSO, the UNHG-HSSTUDENT role will be assigned in IIQ.   This will provision them to M365 and to UNH library resources.
  • When the student no longer has a current or future registration, they will be assigned the UNHG-SUSPENSE-HSSTUDENT role.  This will remove their library access.
  • Twice a year, CPSO will deactivate students no longer taking classes.  This will remove any VLACS HSSTUDENT roles and trigger deprovisioning.

The VLACS faculty, they will be configured as Affiliate Faculty contingent workers in Workday and, therefore, will have full faculty access.

  • Note: We do not yet have a date for when VLACS student registration will begin.  We won’t see these new roles until HS students start being registered for these VLACS HS classes.
