Instructions
Step 1 - Open the Outlook Desktop App for Windows.
Step 2 - Select File > Account settings > Account Settings
Step 3 - Select the mailbox you would like to edit and select the change button.
Step 4 -This will bring up an option where you can change the amount of cached mail or a check box to turn it off.
Step 5 -After unselecting the cached exchange mode option, restart Outlook.
Note: Cached mode is required for many Outlook features to function. It is recommended to clear your cache only using this method, then turn Cached Exchange Mode back on immediately after restarting Outlook or the PC. See Microsoft Support article for instructions - Turn on Cached Exchange Mode
