EAB Navigate360: Busy Blocks in Outlook That Do Not Sync with Navigate

Summary

Users of Microsoft Office365 can now create busy blocks in Outlook that do not sync to Navigate360 by adding the category nosync to the event.   This much requested enhancement gives faculty and staff more control over their calendars by allowing them to hold time on their Outlook schedules without impacting appointment availability in Navigate360.

How-To

Task:  How to create events in Outlook that do not sync to EAB

Instructions

  1. In Outlook, select Tags from the Icon Bar at the top

  2. From the Categorize menu, select New .

  3. Type the name for your category 'nosync', and then, if you want, choose a color by clicking the category icon.

  4. Press Enter. The category is created and can be applied to any calendar item

  5. When creating calendar items in Outlook that have this Category (nosync) applied, will be ignored from being passed over to your calendar in EAB.

Outcome

Users should now be able to tag any calendar item as 'nosync' preventing those items from flowing into EAB
