Canvas Extend USNH: UNH Child Welfare Education Partnership (CWEP) (ETS Internal)

UNH Child Welfare Education Partnership (CWEP)

Grant contract with the NH Department of Youth and Family Services. 

Through this partnership UNH provides education to perspective foster care parents, adoptive parents and NH State DCYF employees. 

Beginning September 16, 2024, the CWEP program will use the UNH Learn for Life system for course registration. It continues to use Canvas Extend for content delivery. All student data will be migrated from the SLLP Banner Student instance into Learn for Life. CWEP canvas extend students will register for any courses starting October 23rd or later through Learn for Life (enrollment opens September 16th).

• Sexual Harassment and Assault Awareness Training/ Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) 

• Residential Counselor Core Training (RCCT) 

CWEP STUDENTS

  TTY Users: 7-1-1 or 800-735-2964 (Relay NH) regarding the following: 

• Course registration 

• Program Selection 

• Registration system login 

• Account password reset 

• Note, all documentation on the CWEP website and the registration system points the students to the CWEP office for assistance.

• Will not be provisioned through the IIQ system.  

• They will not have AD accounts 

• They will not have unh.edu email accounts 

• Will only have access to the following two systems: 

• Canvas Extend – to take their CWEP courses

• CWEP Registration System (UNH Learn for Life)

• Data for the registration system (courses and programs) will be stored in UNH Learn for Life (Destiny One).

• Canvas Extend user accounts will be created via API’s by the CWEP Registration System.  

• Canvas Extend usernames will consist of a personal email address. 

• Password resets for the CWEP Registration System and Canvas Extend are now separate. This will happen in the respective applications

  • Password resets for the CWEP Registration System go through UNH Learn for Life Login page – https://learnforlife.unh.edu/portal/logon.do?method=load – Forgot User Name and Forgot Password links. The Help Desk provides support as usual, sending tickets to Business Applications and Integration (BAAI) for Destiny One for second level support for Learn for Life (Destiny One) accounts.
  • Password resets for Canvas Extend go through the Forgot Password? link on the Canvas Extend login page – mycourses.usnh.edu . The Help Desk provides best effort support for Canvas Extend password issues, sending tickets to TLT - Shared Student for second level support for Canvas Extend password issues.

• Username changes must be completed by sending a ticket under Service – Business Applications Support to Responsible Group: ET&S - Business Applications and Integration (BAAI).

• Student accounts can only be created using the CWEP Registration System (Learn for Life) or manually by the Business Applications and Integration (BAAI) Team (for DestinyOne).

CWEP FACULTY 

• CWEP Faculty who are UNH employees will be provisioned the same as any UNH faculty

  • They will access Canvas via mycourses.unh.edu

  • They will use their M365 SSO credentials to log into Canvas 

• Faculty not paid by UNH to teach courses (NH State Employees) will be Sponsored and manually added to and/or enrolled in courses.

  • Faculty need to wait for their Sponsored account to be completed before they can access myCourses.

• Faculty account access issues can be sent to the Canvas Team
  Group: ET&S TLT - Shared Student
