Summary 

Extend USNH offers courses to people who may or may not already have an affiliation with the University System of New Hampshire (USNH).  This article describes how non-USNH users, USNH-affiliated students, and USNH instructors can log into the Extend USNH Canvas course site. Non-USNH users will use the email address that they provided during course sign-up, while USNH-affiliated users will use their USNH credentials.

How-To

Instructions for Users with Affiliation to USNH (CPS, PSU, UNH)

Step 1 - Access your campus Canvas course site.

• College of Professional Studies (CPS):  https://mycourses.unh.edu 
• Plymouth State University (PSU):  https://mycourses.plymouth.edu 
• University of New Hampshire (UNH):  https://mycourses.unh.edu 

Step 2 - If prompted, sign in with your usual USNH username, password, and MFA if required. 

Step 3 - You will find your course listed on your Canvas dashboard under the “Published Courses” section. Accept the course invitation from the top of the dashboard.

Step 4 - Click on the course tile in your dashboard to enter the course.

Please Note: the course will not be live until your series is scheduled to begin.

 

Outcome

You will be able to log into your institution-specific Canvas course site and see your Extend USNH course on your dashboard.

Login Instructions for Users without USNH Affiliation

Note: See below for Returning Login instructions

First Time Login

Step 1 - Check your email (or Spam/Junk Folder) for the course invitation. The sender of the email will be Extended UNH (notifications@instructure.com).

 

Step 2 - Click on the blue "Get Started" button from the email.

Step 3 - Enter your email address (if not automatically entered).

Step 4 - Enter a password that you wish to use.

Step 5 - Click the Register button.

• You will find your course listed on your dashboard under the "Published Courses" section.

Step 6 - Click on the course tile in your dashboard to enter the course.

Please Note: the course will not be live until your series is scheduled to begin.

 

Outcome

You will be able to login to the Canvas site without USNH credentials.

Returning Login

Step 1 - To login to the course site again, visit https://mycourses.usnh.edu/ 

Step 2 - Type in the same Email Address you used for your first login

Step 3 - Type in your Password and click the Log In button

• If your password doesn't work, click the Forgot Password? link to reset it.

Step 4 - You will find your course(s) listed on your dashboard under the "Published Courses" section.

Step 5 - Click on a course tile in your dashboard to enter that course.

Outcome

You will be able to login again or reset your password.
