This article describes how to add teaching interests to myElements.

How-To

Instructions

There is an option to add teaching interests in addition to or in lieu of research interests. This may be especially relevant for those whose work does not include research. This information, although, not included in the FAR, will be used for faculty profiles on college websites.

Step 1 - From the Home Tab click on +ADD to the right of Teaching Activities (towards the bottom right of page)

Step 2 - Click on Teaching Interest

Step 3Add details (categories with a red * are required) Note: When choosing a date please use the date picker calendar icon.

Note: Make sure the date is within the current reporting period.

Step 4 - Click Save

Outcome

You will be able to add teaching interests to your myElement

You can also add Labels, to your profile which represent Research Interests. 

Instructions

Step 1 - Click on Edit Profile

Step 2 - Scroll down the page just below Overview to the section called Labels

Step 3 - Start typing your interest and a list matching your criteria will populate.  If you are unable to find your Label, you can request one to be create for you here:  myElements webform

Outcome

You will be able to add labels to your profile.
