Summary
C-Cure, owned by UNH Housing, is software for managing building swipe access in Durham, at the UNH Law School in Concord, and the USNH System Office in Concord. This article details how to install C-Cure on a USNH-managed Windows 11 device.
YOu must first request a C-Cure Account from UNH Housing by emailing to bruce.chamberlin@unh.edu and shawn.kretchmar@unh.edu with your request. Your computer also needs to be added to a specific group by Endpoint Engineering so C-Cure will show up in Company Portal.
After Housing verifies you as the assigned person to provide access in your area, then you will be directed to the client installation program. Follow up from the UNH Housing office will include testing the client software and training the end user.
PSU Note: For ID Cards PSU Student Life uses "Odyssey" which feeds to Physical Plant's building card ID swipe access system named: P2000.
How-To
Task: To install the C-Cure application on a Windows 11 device
Instructions
Step 1 - Once you have been given a C-Cure account, open Company Portal on your Managed USNH Device.
Step 2 - In the “Search Apps” bar at the top of Company Portal, type CCURE and press Enter. You should get 3 results:
- CCure 3.0 Initial Installer
- CCure Update 1
- CCure Update 2

Note: If you do not see any applications listed, then Endpoint Engineering needs to add your device to the correct group.
Step 3 - Click the CCure 3.00 Initial Installer object
Step 3a – Click the “Install” button
Step 4 – After a few minutes, a C-Cure installation window should open. Click the blue CCure 9000 Client drop-down, and change the Application Server field from localhost to "132.177.96.242". After updating the Application Server field, click Next.

Step 5 - Select "Next" again

Step 6 - Agree to the End User Agreement

Step 7 - C-Cure will begin to install.
Note: If this first installer hangs on a
prerequisite,
make note of which item it hung on (it says which one it's on). Then quit/force quit the installer and install that prerequisite manually by going into the "Prerequisites" sub-folder, finding the one that hung, and running that prerequisite installer manually. It is usually the
Axis software which we do not use, but it can cause the primary client installer to hang. After the prerequisite is installed, go back up to
Step 3 above and try again.
Note: If you run the program and get an error saying "Either the username does not exist, is disabled, or the password entered is invalid. Connection refused.", you will need to request a C-Cure account be set up for you by Housing. Email to bruce.chamberlin@unh.edu and shawn.kretchmar@unh.edu to request an account.

Step 8 - Reboot when prompted to.

Two new icons should appear on your desktop after the reboot:

Step 9 - Navigate back to Company Portal. Find CCure Update 1 and select Install. This is the first update after the initial installation. Please run this after installing CCure and rebooting. Note:
- Company Portal may say that CCure 3.00 Initial Installer failed. This can be ignored.
- Company Portal may report that your Download is pending,; the installer is actually running in the background.

Step 10 - This should open a new installer window; follow the installation wizards prompts to begin installing.

Step 11 - Exit the installer window once the CCure Update 1 installation has finished.

Step 12 - Navigate back to Company Portal. Find CCure Update 2 and select Install.

Step 13 - Follow the installation wizard prompts. Exit the installer window once the CCure Update 2 installation has finished.

Outcome
The C-Cure application with updates has been successfully installed on the Windows 11 device.
