How-to

Task: To find your computer's IP address on a Microsoft Windows machine

 

Instructions

Step 1 - Open the command prompt by clicking on the start menu

Step 2 - Then type in 'cmd' into the search bar, and then click on the icon that comes up or press enter

Step 3 - Once the command prompt is open, type in 'ipconfig'

 

Step 4 - The line that says 'IPv4 Address" (highlighted in the picture) is your IP address.

 

Outcome

You should be able to find your computer's IP address on a Microsoft Windows device.
