TeamDynamix: Planned Maintenance Information

Summary

This article outlines the regular maintenance windows for TeamDynamix 11.7 and later.  It outlines the periods of time when the application is unavailable due to service updates, new functionality releases, and emergency maintenance.

The downtime referred to in this article means that all of the following applications, as well as their sandbox counterparts, are completely unavailable until maintenance completes:

  • TDAdmin (Administration)
  • TDNext (Users)
  • TDWorkManagement
  • TDClient (Client Portal)
  • TDMobile
  • TDWebApi (API)

 

Daily Maintenance

  • Occurs Daily from 11:00 PM - 1:00 AM ET for the Production and Sandbox environments
  • These activities do not require downtime
  • Activities are typically infrastructure or database-related
  • No announcement is provided to customers

 

Weekly Service Updates

  • Production environment service updates occur every Saturday from 12:00 AM - 4:00 AM ET
  • Sandbox environment service updates occur from every Friday at 9:00 PM ET to Saturday at 4:00 AM ET
  • These activities require downtime (production and sandbox)
  • Activities are typically service releases, bug fixes, or minor enhancements
  • No announcement is provided to customers

 

Major Release Updates

  • Major release date is communicated at least 4 weeks in advance and notice is provided to registered customers
  • Release date is scheduled to fall on Saturday
  • Sandbox Environment Upgrade occurs one day before the release date from 12:00 AM - 6:00 PM ET
  • Production Environment Upgrade occurs on release date from 12:00 AM - 4:00 AM ET
  • These activities require downtime for the environment(s) and date(s) specified
  • Activities are related to new versions of TeamDynamix (e.g. 11.7 to 11.8 release)

For the week immediately following a major release, maintenance patches may need to be applied as often as every night. These will be applied during the same time frame as the Weekly Service Updates window, and they will incur some downtime. Notifications will not be sent out if these patches are needed.

 

Emergency Updates

  • Occurs on an as-needed basis when an emergency change/update is required
  • Whenever possible, a 24-hour advance notice is provided to TeamDynamix Administrators
  • Occurs between 12:00 AM - 4:00 AM ET with more precise information given if/when emergency update event occurs
