myApps: Accessing and Using Software Applications

Summary

The USNH myApps service is available to USNH students, faculty, and staff for easy access to software applications that otherwise would need a lengthy installation or licensing process. The myApps service delivers applications virtually through a web browser so you do not need to install the applications on your device and can be using an application within minutes of logging in. The VPN is not required to use the myApps service.

How-To

Task: Log in and use applications delivered through the myApps service

Instructions

Step 1 - Browse to https://myapps.usnh.edu/usnh

Step 2 - Log into USNH myApps with your username@usnh.edu and your password

Step 3 - The login process will continue. Please wait for the application landing page to load.  You will briefly see the desktop logo (below), and then the application landing page (second image below) will load

Here is the application landing page. Note that you can find an application by searching, selecting, or clicking "View all Apps"

Step 4 - Hover over an application to launch it. Click "Launch"

Step 5 - Your application will launch. Depending on the size of the application, it may take a shorter or longer amount of time to fully load.

 

Step 6 - Important! You must save your work to OneDrive to ensure that your data is available to you wherever you need it from any device.  This will allow you to upload your files from OneDrive to Canvas.

To find "Save to OneDrive" in the application you are using, look for this blue cloud symbol as a saving location option:

You can save to these folders under OneDrive and know that your files will be backed up and available through OneDrive:  

  • Documents
  • Desktop
  • Pictures

 

Again, please save to one of these folders under the OneDrive Symbol to ensure that your data is saved.

To retrieve your files, please open the application that you were using previously and open the file from the location in OneDrive where you saved it.

 

Step 7 - To close your myApps session, click the two Xs to close both tabs of your web browser.

Outcome

You can access, find, and open an application within myApps through the website provided.
