UNH - myElements: Faculty Activity Reporting (FAR) - Reviewer - Export FAR including Attachments

Task: FAR reviewers (Department or College level reviewers) can complete the review process 100% online, but may prefer to have a paper package created for offline review or archival in department files. This article highlights how a reviewer in myElements can export the FAR including downloading report attachments.

In order to complete these steps you must be setup as a reviewer within myElements. All department chairs, Associate Deans, and Deans are setup as reviewers and may approve additional administrative staff be given this same access by submitting an account request for myElements assessment reviewer access.

Instructions:

Access Assessment Reviews

  1. Log in to myElements at myelements.unh.edu

  2. Click Menu

  3. Under Review Click Assessment Reviews. This will open the 'Reviews of Assessments' page which lists all assessments for which you are a reviewer.

  4. Click on Review Assessments next to the name of the assessment exercise you will be exporting. This will bring up a list of all faculty who have started this particular assessment and an indication of the current status of that exercise. Options include, 'Faculty Entry', 'Department Review', and 'College Review'. You will be able to export only exercises that are in the status you are a reviewer.  i.e. Department chairs or department staff could export exercises in 'Department Review' status, Dean's office staff could export those in 'College Review' status. For information on how faculty submit their FAR for review, refer to myElements-Submitting assessment document.

  5. Find the name of the faculty member you wish to export the FAR for and click on Continue Review or Start Review. This will open the review of that individual's FAR.

  6. You may now continue on to either Export the standard FAR report and/or Export any FAR Attachments using the next 2 sections of this article.

Export the standard FAR report

  1. You are on the summary page showing the faculty member's name, status of the assessment, and areas that they completed. At the top of the screen you have several buttons including one labeled Export to Word or PDF. Click on that button.

  2. Choose the file format (word or PDF) and click the Download As option

  3. The report now saved locally to your computer in your standard browser download location. This report includes a summary of all FAR information and would indicate if the faculty member included attachments, but would NOT include the content within those attachments.

Find and Download any attachments

  1. You are on the summary page showing the faculty member's name, status of the assessment, and areas that they completed. Scroll down the list of entry areas to the section that allow for attachments to see if any are indicated.

  2. Sections that allow for attachments vary by college, but may include: Narrative, CV/Resume, Self Assessment, or Plans for Upcoming Year. See the screenshot below for a sample summary page with an attached self assessment.

  3. Once finding a section with an attached file, click on the underlined name of the section, i.e. 'Self Assessment of Past Year and Plans for Upcoming Year', this will open that section of the FAR. See second screenshot below. NOTE: The narrative may have a different name depending on your affiliation.

  4. Click on the name of the attached file. This will start the download and the file is now saved locally to your computer in your standard browser download location with the same name you see online.
