Task: Change, access, move, and remove widgets in myPortal.
Instructions
Widgets are information blocks that you can prioritize on your own Dashboard. You can click and drag widgets to change their location on your Dashboard. To find your widgets scroll to the area titled Widgets on your Dashboard.
Move a Widget
Step 1 - To move a widget, simply hover over your desired Widget until you see the cursor with four arrows, then click and drag the widget to any location within your Widgets area.
Minimize a Widget
Step 2 - To contract a Widget (so it takes up less screen space) simply
click the upward and downward arrows 
next to the desired Widget you would like to minimize.
Note: this will be remembered the next time you load your screen.
Change or Remove a Widget
Step 3 - To change or remove a Widget click on the
ellipsis (...) 
.
Step 4 - The options you will see are Refresh Content to update the Widget, Show or Hide on Sidebar. Single or Double Width.
Step 5 - If you select Double Width the widget will take up more space on your Dashboard, displaying more prominently.

Step 6 - Lastly there is Remove Widget. Click Remove Widget to remove the Widget from your Dashboard display.
Finding More Widgets or Turning a Widget Back On

Find New Widgets 
Find New Widgets is located across from the Widgets title on your Dashboard - to see what is available to you. Widgets currently available include the Canvas widget which shows your courses, Academic Profile Widget, Microsoft 365 widget which shows a preview of your inbox and files, Twitter widgets showing you your campus’ Twitter account, and myPortal events widget (another way to show you upcoming events on your campus).
