Canvas: Attendance Tool

Task: Enabling the Canvas Attendance Tool

Instructions

Step 1 - Navigate to the desired course.

Step 2 - Go to Settings (at the bottom of the course menu (which is to the right of the blue global navigation bar)).

Step 3 - Select the Navigation tab (middle-top of the screen).

Step 4 - The Attendance link is at the bottom half of that page by default. Drag and drop it to the top of the page above the text that reads Drag items here to hide them from students.

Step 5 - Click the blue Save button at the bottom of the page.

Note: The Attendance tool link in the Course Menu list can only be seen by faculty. Students only see their grades for their Attendance from their grade area.  

 

Outcome

You will have enabled the Canvas Attendance tool.
