Summary

This article has instructions to set up and use PaperCut's Mobility Print on your personal devices or computers. After you set up Mobility Print on a device, then you can print to PaperCut printers from that device. Set up Mobility Print on each personal device from which you want to print.

Mobility Print is also an alternative for UNH-managed MacOS computers where you log into the computer with a local account name (like John Doe) that does not match your USNH username (like jbd2519). Installing Mobility Print on institutionally managed devices requires administrative access which may require assistance from a Client Services Desktop Support technician.

Mobility Print supports the following operating systems:

  • Windows
  • MacOS
  • Apple iOS
  • Android
  • ChromeOS

How-To

Task: Set up the Follow-Me Printers using PaperCut's Mobility Print on your personal device or computer (or some UNH-managed MacOS computers)

Before you begin

  • If you are on-campus, make sure you are connected to Eduroam (wireless) or Ethernet (wired).
  • If you are off-campus, make sure you are connected to the VPN.

If you are on a UNH-owned MacOS computer, please first see the instructions below to prepare for Mobility Print BEFORE you try to follow these steps. PSU-owned and KSC-owned MacOS computers do not require Mobility Print because they are already configured correctly to use instructions for Printing from a Managed Computer - MacOS.

Instructions

Step 1 - Download the Mobility Print client from the appropriate campus location:

The download page attempts to detect your operating system (box 1 in image below). If the operating system is correct, choose the Download button (box 2).

If your operating system (OS) is not detected correctly, click on the correct OS for your device from the links at the bottom of the download screen (box 3).

Step 2 - Follow the on-screen installation instructions provided for your operating system.

Step 3 - When the installation is complete, the corresponding campus Follow-Me printers will be available on your device.

  • KSC
    • B&W_KSC
    • Color_KSC
  • PSU
    • PSU_BW_EMPLOYEE
    • PSU_COLOR_EMPLOYEE
  • UNH
    • UNH_BW_EMPLOYEE
    • UNH_COLOR_EMPLOYEE
  • USNH System Office
    • UNH_BW_EMPLOYEE
    • UNH_COLOR_EMPLOYEE

Step 4 - You can now print to one of the Follow-Me printers as you normally would print on your device. See detailed instructions for how to print from MacOS or from Windows.

Important: Each time you print, your device will ask you for a username and password. Erase anything already in the boxes (such as your name), and type your USNH username ONLY, NOT username@usnh.edu (e.g. jbd2519, NOT jbd2519@usnh.edu) and USNH password. Your operating system may have the option to save this information after the first time, to make it easier to print.

Step 5 - After you send your document to one of the Follow-Me printers, you can go to a PaperCut Xerox printer and release your print job using the posted QR code, using the printer control panel (tap-to-release), or through a web browser.

Outcome

You have set up the Follow-Me Printers using PaperCut's Mobility Print on your personal device or computer. You are able to print to PaperCut printers on campus.
