Outlook: Sending from another email address

Summary

When sending an email, you have the option to use the Bcc method or specify which email address to send from if you have multiple Outlook accounts. This article details how to enable the Bcc or send-from method for both Windows and MacOS users.

 

How-To

Task: To use the Bcc or send-from feature in the Microsoft Windows Outlook Desktop App

Note: In order to send as an email address you must have Send As permissions to the address. This includes Shared Mailboxes, Distribution Lists, and Public Folders.

Instructions

Step 1 - Open Outlook

Step 2 - Click New Email in the top left

Step 3 - In the open window, click the Options tab.

Step 4 - Locate and click the Bcc button and the From button. This will give you access to these features.

Note: the From field will only be editable if you have another account with send as permission

After you have enabled the "From" field, you can choose your From address. Click the "From" button and select the address from the drop-down menu or select "Other E-mail Address..." and specify the email address you wish to send from

 

Outcome

You have successfully enabled the Bcc or the send-from features.

Instructions

Step 1 - Open your USNH email

Step 2 - Start a New Message

Step 3 - Click on From:  next to Send to select which account to send from

Step 4 - Click the Bcc on the right-hand side to enable the Bcc feature
