Outlook: Troubleshooting Grayed Out Features in the Mac Desktop App

Microsoft Outlook Desktop App for MacOS

 

Issue

If any of the features in your Mac Outlook Desktop App are grayed out, try these steps to fix the issue:

 

Resolution

Step 1 - Open Microsoft Outlook

Step 2 - Click Outlook > Preferences

Step 3 - Select the General icon (top row)

Step 4 - Uncheck the Hide On My Computer folder's check box

Step 5 - Close all dialog boxes and Quit Outlook

Step 6 - Relaunch the Outlook application

 

Result 

Features should function again
