A1 - Can I require meeting registration in Teams?

• Yes. Instead of sending out meeting invitations that contain a Join meeting link, you can publicize your meeting and have attendees register.

A2 - Does Teams have breakout rooms? 

• Yes. However, you can't create breakout rooms if there are more than 300 people in a meeting. You may assign meeting attendees to breakout rooms before or during the meeting.

A3 - Can I record my meetings in Teams? 

• Any Teams meeting or call can be recorded for future viewing. The recording captures audio, video, and screen sharing activity, and you can share it securely across your organization. The recording is processed and saved to SharePoint if it was a channel meeting or OneDrive if it was any other type of meeting.

A4 - Can I or others share our screens during a Teams meeting?

• Yes. You may choose to present your entire screen, a window, a PowerPoint file, or a whiteboard.

A5 - Is there a waiting room option in Teams?

• Yes. Teams call it the lobby. The meeting lobby keeps participants from joining a meeting until they’re admitted by an organizer, co-organizer, or presenter.

A6 - Does Teams have co-hosts and/or alternative hosts?

• Yes. There are four roles in Teams meetings: Organizer, Co-organizer, Presenter, and Attendee

A7 - Does Teams have an option for very large meetings like a Zoom webinar?

• Yes. Teams also has webinars. Like in Zoom, Teams webinars are more structured. Participants have clear roles: one or several experts (presenters) share their ideas and present to an audience (attendees). By default, audio and video permissions are turned off for attendees.

A8 - What accessibility features are in Teams? 

• Teams has many accessibility features including live machine generated captions, screen reader support, high contrast mode, and meeting transcripts,

A9 - What Microsoft support is available for people with disabilities?

• Microsoft offers the Microsoft Disability Answer Desk for technical assistance. The Disability Answer Desk support team is trained in using many popular assistive technologies and can offer assistance in English, Spanish, French, and American Sign Language.

A11 - Does Teams have an attendance feature?

• Yes, after enabling the feature, you may download the attendance reports after the meeting.

A12 - Can I use Teams in Canvas?

• Yes. There is a Microsoft integration in Canvas.

A13 - How many people can join a Teams meeting?

• You may have up to 1000 people in the same meeting.

A14 - Where can I find training on Teams Meetings? 

• You can find training on the AT Training Calendar. If you want to know Microsoft Teams better there is a great App called Training Assistant you can find under Apps in Microsoft Teams (see below) Lastly we'll be adding recorded sessions to our Documentation and Training channel.
