Summary
This article provides instructions on how to tell if your Windows device is joined to the USNH Enterprise Active Directory. There are two ways to determine if a computer is joined to the USNH Active Directory Domain; through the Control Panel on the device, or the Command Prompt app.

Task: To tell if your device is joined to the USNH Enterprise Active Directory through the Control Panel
Instructions
Step 1 - Open "Control Panel" on the device (Start > Control Panel)
Step 2 - Click on "System and Security"
Step 3 - Click on "System"
Step 4 - Check the "Full device name" section. The computer name will end with ad.usnh.edu
Step 5 - If it does not say “ad.usnh.edu” your device is not joined to the USNH Active Directory
Outcome
The user should be able to tell if their Windows device is joined to the USNH Enterprise Active Directory through the Control Panel.
Task: To tell if your device is joined to the USNH Enterprise Active Directory through the Command Prompt app
Instructions
Step 1 - Click on the magnifying glass icon on the bottom left corner of your screen and type cmd.
Step 2 - Select the Command Prompt app from the list.
Step 3 - When the Command Prompt screen opens, type: set user and hit enter.
Step 4 - If the results for USERDOMAIN = AD or AD.USNH.EDU, the device is joined to USNH Active Directory.
Outcome
The user should be able to tell if their Windows device is joined to the USNH Enterprise Active Directory through the Command Prompt.
