Summary
This article explains how to use a secondary account's enhanced privileges to make changes on specific computers, specified in the original request. If you need to make changes to additional computers, then you will need to submit another request to ask for permission on those other machines.

How-To
There are two ways to leverage your secondary account's enhanced privileges: by elevating privileges from your regular account or by signing into your secondary account from the OS lock screen. Scroll down for instructions to:
Task: Elevate Privileges from a regular account on Windows
When logged into Windows with a regular account (with no local administrator privileges), use these steps to elevate privileges to perform task(s) in or on a specific application or file.
Instructions
Step 1 - Right click on the application/file you wish to run with enhanced privileges and choose “Run as administrator”. This can be done from the Start menu or by right clicking any shortcut to the application/file.

Step 2 - You will be prompted to enter login credentials. Enter your secondary account username and password.
Step 3 - Proceed to complete the task(s) that required elevated privileges.
Step 4 - Quit the application or close the file when you are finished with those task(s), to protect the elevated privileges.
Outcome
You can use your secondary account credentials from your regular user account to complete tasks requiring administrative privileges.

Task: Elevate Privileges from a regular account on MacOS
When logged into MacOS with a regular account (with no local administrator privileges), use these steps to elevate privileges to perform task(s) in or on a specific application or file.
Instructions
Step 1 - Locate the application/file you wish to run with enhanced privileges.
Step 2 - Hold down the “Control” key and click on the application/file. Continue to hold the “Control” key.
Step 3 - With the “Control" key still held down, select “Open” from the menu.
Step 4 - You should be prompted to enter login credentials. Enter your secondary account username and password.
Step 5 - Proceed to complete the task(s) that required elevated privileges.
Step 6 - Quit the application or close the file when you are finished with those task(s), to protect the elevated privileges.
Outcome
You can use your secondary account credentials from your regular user account to complete tasks requiring administrative privileges.

Task: Sign into your secondary account from the OS lock screen - both MacOS and Windows
Instructions
Step 1 - When prompted to sign into the computer, click “Other User” (Windows) or "Other..." (MacOS).
Step 2 - Enter your secondary account username and password.
Step 3 - After you are signed into your secondary account, proceed to take actions requiring administrative privileges.
Important: This account should ONLY be used to take actions which require administrative privileges. DO NOT use this as a primary user account.
Step 4 - When finished using administrative privileges, sign out of your secondary account.
Step 5 - You or another user can then sign back in with a regular user account to continue using the computer normally. When prompted to sign into the computer, click on the desired regular user account, or if you do not see it, click “Other User” (Windows) or "Other..." (MacOS) to enter the account username and password.
Outcome
You can sign into your secondary account from the OS lock screen, where you can take actions requiring administrative privileges.
