Task: To determine your version of Office in the Windows OS.
Instructions
Step 1 - Open any Office application, such as Word or Excel, and create a new document.
Step 2 - Choose File in the top left corner, and then select either Account or Help from the list on the left.
Step 3 - If the full version number doesn't appear here, choose About Word. A dialog box opens, showing the full version number and bit version (32-bit or 64-bit) at the top.
Outcome
Under Product Information, your Office product name and, in some cases, the full version number are displayed.

A - Product Name, such as Office 365 ProPlus or Office Home and Student 2016.
B - Full Version Number, which starts with 15 for Office 2013 or 16 for Office 2016.

Instructions
Step 1 - Open and Office application, such as Word and create a new document.
Step 2 - Go to the Word menu and choose About Word.
Outcome
In the dialog box that opens, the version numbers appears at the top of Office for Mac 2016 or in the top left for Office for Mac 2011.
