Bookings: Creating and Staffing Bookings

Task: To create a booking.

 

Instructions

Step 1 - In Office 365, select the app launcher, and then select Bookings.

Step 2 - In the navigation pane on the left, select Calendar.

Step 3 - Select New booking.

Step 4 - Select the service to be provided. See Define your service offerings for service set-up instructions.

Step 5 - Enter the customer information, including name, email address, phone number, and other relevant details.

Step 6 - Select the staff member to provide the service. The list of staff members shown is based preferences on the services page

Step 7 - Enter the service details, including date, time, location, and other relevant information. Once a valid email address is entered for the customer, the Save button changes to Send. A notification stating that a confirmation will be sent to the customer should appear. The customer confirmation includes an attachment for them to add to their calendar. Selected staff members will also receive meeting invitations with the appointment information so they can add it to their personal calendars.

Step 8 - Select Add an email reminder.

Step 9 - Specify when the reminder should be sent, where it should be sent (Customer, Staff, All attendees), and what the reminder message should be.

Step 10 - Select Save > Send.

 

Outcome

The booking is scheduled and staff assigned. The customer receives a reminder email notification.
